Looking good so far.
Benjamin Moore Stormy Monday was the right choice for the wall color.

Office (still) In-Progress: Building the Desk Top
It's been ages since my last post. We're in the middle of constructing the desk top and we chose birch plywood. Our local Lowes cut all of our pieces to size with the exception of the clipped corners for the keyboard areas on each corner section.
One coat, so far. As the stain dries, the color will darken a bit.
We squeeze in time to work on these pieces during weekends we have free, so again, not an overnight project.
We also picked up some 2'x4's to run along the wall underneath the desktop, drilling those into the studs to help support the desk top. After some sanding and additional cutting, I stained the surfaces and edges using a dark walnut color to match our bookcase.

Took a Break, Now Back to the Office
Finally received the shipping notice from Home Decorator's Collection for the file cabinet, which is the third piece to our office desk.
It was on backorder for quite a while, so in the meantime, I worked on a fabric covered cork board (I didn't take pictures of the process, but I followed these instructions from Two Twenty One's blog) and used a Pat Bravo fabric pattern called Illusion from the Hyperreal Garden collection.
The main color is plum and I think it will coordinate nicely with the other warm purple/lavender accents in the room.
With the weather being nice here, except for the pollen, we also did some yard work. I planted a new rose bush and then added a window basket filled with violas on the railing near our front door.
Updates moving forward won't be that frequent, with maybe 1 or 2 posts per week (maybe). :-)
